The Unique You

Beyond all, be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.     A man once said; i have not even gone the extra mile for myself, talk less of taking risks for anyone" People around called him heartless, some called him useless and i said to myself, don't blame him, ''you cant give what you don't have'' he is just being true to himself. So he is right, like he already knows his capability. He does not value himself enough to go the extra mile to get anything,he can easily settle for less. So going the extra mile to satisfy anyone is a big NO. There is a huge variance between being there for people and being inauthentic to please people. The irony is that we often do this for people we love thinking it is what they want. It is not. All they want is our needs to be met, but they can’t know them unless we  acknowledge and honor them ourselves.   Living the life you want takes great courage and conviction
