MY CULTURE...MY PRIDE

Am sure you wandering ,what is she doing? What is she upto?  Well this picture is a reminder of where it all started. Yeah where it started, our crop tops ,our black lipsticks, our hairstyles, our Dansiki, our laali, our oleku ,our beads are all extracted from it….Hmm now  it is ringing a bell ,I know right!!!

Still looking into it ,our songs are now reflecting from the past when our culture was still highly recognized. Orente, Reggae blues, some songs by sound sultan, and the likes..Reflects from our culture.

Ghen ghen!!!!!

Well, Culture,I learnt is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts…. So, when  it came to my consciousness, about how all of this was neglected and suddenly we back to them. I said to myself my culture is awesome, for it to be redirected in different dimensions.  What a lovely culture we have got, rather than letting go we re-modified it to fit in our current generation.

We still practice that abandoned culture in a re-modified way. Appreciate our culture and be proud of it.

Yaaaaayiii Peace

PEN IT DOWN

Life takes place, and it can happen fast. Sometimes we don’t take the time to stop and look around at what is happening to us at each moment. We don’t get to see the step-by-step progress that we are making in our own lives. So, what happens? Gbam! the future comes, and you have no track or idea of how you have gotten there, successful or not. One quick question: How can penning things down help improve your life? Or does it help clear your thoughts when you are upset?  Will penning things down help you determine whether or not you are on your right career path? Will it help you check if you are reaching towards your goal or not? Provide an answer… Writing is an important part of life, whether in the workplace or school, as an hobby or in personal communication, everyone is a writer.  Here is the truth: your effectiveness in life is not what you could be missing out. Each day passes by and you have nothing to prove that it even happened. Did you achieve som...

CHANGECOSIS

Change is the only CONSTANT. It is inevitable.  Few days ago I posted this word   CHANGECOSIS on my Instagram page @_expressit and I challenged my followers to find the meaning of the word, but  I almost forgot we are the Google generation (Lol)  so I got answers powered by Google (lol).                       Moreover, my sister, Ifedolapo Ajakaiye(Mrs) inspired this piece, she sent me the word, I thought it was one of those medical terms they use as medical practitioners , but no it is not.  According to her; "After a long period of study on unhealthy conditions and why it threatens life ; I came across a disease that threatens one's ability to enjoy life and develop one's full potential - CHANGECOSIS  ". Yes!   it is a disease. It is wise to avoid this disease, a threat to happy living and growth , better still run from it.  This Changecosis is an unheal...

INTENTION et ACTION

In the past days, weeks and month, I have been fighting with so many things like managing my time and being productive. Yet there is a lot on mind that I want to do, amazing ideas keeps popping in my mind, big dreams all in my head. I knew I really want to do it, my intention is to do it, my spirit is willing but I did not take any action. WHY? Like why do we have things bottled up in our minds and abandon them at the stage of “Intent”. Just like my friend David told me about a lovely idea he had and I exclaimed! What is stopping you, just start, do it, it is really amazing. Well he gave me reasons why he couldn’t start, reasons like; I need a team, I need to learn more about it and so on. I agreed with him then. But now, I am so sorry to disagree with you David. Those excuses are not valid reasons, which fall back to my question earlier. Our spirit and mind is ready and willing to do something but we do not take actions, WHY? I consider most of us get ourselves on one end ...
