So many people say being a student is the sweetest part of life. I can say those people are those that had memorable moments with steady income. Not like i didn't have memorable moments, in fact i had the best time in school involving myself in several activities, but struggling was my middle name. I could be categorized as a poor student, not academically but financially. Luxury was a distant land far from my struggling land. Affording provisions was tougher than getting an A in my professor's course, and trying to form like some other 'big girls' couldn't be an option. I am too real to be fake. Sometimes, my mom would call, with her sweet, calm yet defining voice, assuring me of the love she has for me, telling me how much she cares for me, and how she is working hard towards meeting my needs. Change is the only CONSTANT. It is inevitable.  Few days ago I posted this word   CHANGECOSIS on my Instagram page @_expressit and I challenged my followers to find the meaning of the word, but  I almost forgot we are the Google generation (Lol)  so I got answers powered by Google (lol).                       Moreover, my sister, Ifedolapo Ajakaiye(Mrs) inspired this piece, she sent me the word, I thought it was one of those medical terms they use as medical practitioners , but no it is not.  According to her; "After a long period of study on unhealthy conditions and why it threatens life ; I came across a disease that threatens one's ability to enjoy life and develop one's full potential - CHANGECOSIS  ". The future starts today not tomorrow .  Snap! snap! snap!  What is today's date already?  WOW!  In a blink the whole new year excitement is all gone. Welcome to reality. The year is flying, it does not care if you were not ready or unable to catch up. Are you feeling like you have not been working as planned?  Oops too early for that.  I wrote this piece during an interview and i wrote it because it is a common issue. I realized, there is no way forward with this attitude(I was a victim). In a gathering, the topic of discussion was about how women / Ladies nowadays all over the world, throw away who they really are and just want to keep up with the social trends, lifestyle and be noticed.  An elderly man asked , "can we find Nigerian women /Ladies that still stands out and hold on to our values and culture, women /Ladies that are not shying away from who they really are has Nigerians" ? To serve as an explanation that vindicates, defends or justifies an action.  This excuses we make, seek to lessen the blame attaching to a fault or offence; you know trying to justify. This artistic work explains CRITICS . . . . . I was scrolling through my time line and then saw this artistic work by @dazeimages on Instagram . I sent him a message requesting to write something about it ,  I was so happy after he agreed. Why do I link this artistic work with CRITICS? Here it is  . . . First, Who is a Critic?  A critic is a person who expresses an unfavorable opinion of something. It is a practice of judging the merits and faults of something. A critic is one who knows the way but do not drives the car. Critics build NOTHING.  They are like LEGLESS MEN   who teaches  RUNNING .. . . Looking at the hand in that artistic work , it's so armless and it has no eyes to see with BUT has the boldness to conmpress the face,  regardless of it being incomplete. ..  That just explains it, before you criticize check yourself, If you don't take a little criticism, then please do not critize others.
